Does it work without installing an app?+
Yes. It runs in the browser. On mobile it uses the rear camera by default.
Can it scan a QR code from a screenshot?+
Yes. Switch to image mode and drop the screenshot or photo containing the code.
Is my camera feed uploaded?+
No. Frames are analysed on your device with the jsQR library and never sent anywhere.
Why won’t my camera start?+
The browser needs camera permission and a secure (https or localhost) context. Use image mode if the camera is unavailable.
