Frequently asked questions
How long can the GIF be?+
Up to about 15 seconds. GIF is an old format and grows quickly, so shorter clips at ≤600px width stay a sensible size.
Why is my GIF large?+
GIF has no real video compression. Lower the width and frame rate, or shorten the clip, to reduce size.
Does it keep audio?+
No. GIF has no audio track. Use Video to MP3 if you need the sound.
Is my video uploaded?+
No. Frames are extracted and encoded in the browser.
