Frequently asked questions
What is a healthy BMI?+
For adults, a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 is generally considered the healthy range. The tool shows this band on the scale.
Is BMI accurate for everyone?+
BMI is a general screening measure. It does not distinguish muscle from fat, so athletes and some body types may read high without excess fat.
Which formula is used?+
Weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. Imperial inputs are converted before applying the same formula.
Is my data saved?+
No. Everything is calculated locally and nothing is transmitted.
