About the Text to Speech
Convert text to spoken audio using the natural voices installed on your device. The Toolcenter Text to Speech tool lets you pick a voice, adjust speed and pitch, and play, pause or stop. You can also capture the spoken audio to a file via screen-share recording. It uses the browser’s Web Speech API — no account or API key.
How to use it

Which voices are available?+
Whatever text-to-speech voices your operating system and browser provide. Chrome, Edge and Safari expose the widest selection.
Can I download the audio as an MP3?+
You can capture the spoken audio via screen-share recording (choose a tab and enable “share audio”); it saves as a WebM file.
Is there a length limit?+
Very long text may be split by the browser’s speech engine, but there is no hard limit imposed by the tool.
Is my text sent to a server?+
No. Speech is synthesised locally by your browser.
